We’re looking for passionate, highly motivated brand ambassadors to

join our USTA NorCal family, helping us to elevate our brand awareness

at festivals, sporting and community events.

Our mission is to promote and develop the growth of tennis as an inclusive and inviting lifetime activity in Northern California. Our goal for the Tennis Troops is to enhance growth in the following categories:

• Participation in junior programming

• Participation in adult programming

• Increased number of candidates for USTA NorCal resources (scholarships, grants, etc.)

• Awareness that tennis is an accessible & inclusive sport

Ultimately we want to foster love for the game as well as create lifelong players.

PAY: $20 an hour – hourly contractor


• Collaborates with multiple departments to create and execute experiences at festivals, events, and other street team activities, from start to finish.

• Perform basic office administrative functions such as P&L

reports, keep equipment and prize inventory

• Drives promotional vehicle

• Conducts on-site promotions and communicates to diverse audiences

• Sets up tennis equipment, hangs banners, put out programming information and other staging elements

• Records events (i.e. photos, videos, audio) for promoting on social media and for content creation

• Sets up, breaks down & transports promotional event equipment

• Creating a favored public image for USTA NorCal


• High work standards and degree of attention to detail

• Project management from start to finish; assumes responsibility & accountability for assignments and tasks

• Exhibits good interpersonal skills, collaborates with others, maintains composure when faced with difficult situations and personalities

• Microsoft Office and social media platforms experience

• Successfully pass background screening

• Physical ability to stand for multiple hours and lift or move up to 40-pound objects


• Experience in outdoor promotions and/or marketing and/or customer service

• Further training to be provided by USTA NorCal


• Enrolled in a 4-year college with emphasis in communications or marketing preferred, but not necessary

• Spanish speaking preferred, but not necessary


• Valid driver’s license

• Proof of insurability

• Event sites: throughout Northern California
